Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Pensacola, Florida. The role involves protecting clients across diverse facilities, patrolling assigned areas, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Position is Full Time with shifts including nights and weekends. Candidates should have at least two years of security experience, a high school diploma, and be able to meet licensing and background screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/contractor/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Report maintenance concerns and security-related observations to supervision and site contacts.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related observations to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
