Job summary

Allied Universal in Aurora, IL is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, control access, and provide courteous service while maintaining a professional presence.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred as applicable.
• Background investigation conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location through site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking facilities, and business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner following established protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking facilities, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials in accordance with site procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately; promptly communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
