Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Sandston, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, assist with access control and alarm response, and provide excellent customer service to clients at a technology-focused site.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
