Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer (Part Time) for Downtown locations. You will provide guest services, patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and maintain incident reports while upholding safety and professionalism.

Schedule includes Mon and Sun from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and a background check and drug screen are required by policy. Allied Universal offers growth and benefit opportunities in a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.

• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and team members by following security procedures and location policies.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hotel and resort areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions and maintenance issues to management.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.

Pay Rate: $20.22 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM; Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel and resort buildings, guest areas, parking locations, amenities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with location management, staff, guests, and responding public services.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
