Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Austin, TX. You will monitor and protect clients across tech-focused facilities, patrol assigned areas, and provide high-quality customer service while ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout your shift.

You must hold a valid driver’s license, be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and pass a background check and drug screening. This is a full-time, on-site driving position with day/evening shifts in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, laboratories, common spaces, parking areas, and exterior perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations and needs with site personnel and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, laboratories, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
