Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, vehicle traffic issues, and critical situations calmly and by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking, perimeters, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian activity, verify credentials and follow visitor/delivery procedures.
• Document observations and incidents per site requirements and inform Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Ocala, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, vehicle traffic issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian activity, verifying credentials and following visitor and delivery procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with site‑specific reporting requirements and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
