Job summary

Allied Universal Savannah, GA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Monitor. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional service to employees and visitors.

This full-time role offers a $19.00 per hour pay rate, a consistent evening schedule, and benefits including health insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and communications location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and directing guests to appropriate contacts or locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
