Job summary

Allied Universal in Palmetto, GA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for full-time patrol duties at a logistics and distribution site. You will monitor areas, conduct patrols, support access control, and deter incidents with a visible, professional presence while delivering strong customer service.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a Day shift on weekdays and weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and driver activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and escalating concerns as directed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
