Allied Universal in Richmond, VA is seeking a Security Officer Access Control—Full Time to monitor entry points at a financial institution, verify credentials, and respond to security concerns.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct patrols, and coordinate with site personnel to deter incidents. This role requires 18+ (21+ for armed), a high school diploma, a background check, and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and assist with directing visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with established access procedures.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
