Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Inspection in Richmond, VA. You will serve and safeguard clients across industries, conduct routine and random unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role emphasizes professional communication with employees and visitors, responding to security concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service. Pay is $19.00 per hour with a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
