Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures and access control.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and exterior areas.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report observations promptly to relevant staff.
• Document patrols and incidents in accordance with reporting requirements.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control procedures. You will use communication and customer service skills to assist employees and visitors, respond to alarms and incidents, and help promote a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including exterior areas, perimeter boundaries, parking areas, and access points.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards, and report observations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
