Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. An active armed guard card or license is required.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, verify credentials as assigned, control access to restricted areas, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
