Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness in Richmond, VA to safeguard clients across industries. The role offers a flexible weekend schedule and the Claim a Shift platform to choose shifts.

You'll conduct unarmed patrols, deter incidents, observe and report, assist visitors with professionalism, and communicate clearly, supporting Allied Universal’s people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required by law
• Drug screen required by law
• Driver's license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation facilities, offices, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials or authorization when required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities through clear and accurate reports.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, observe and report security-related concerns, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will provide clear communication and exceptional customer service while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
