Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Guard Campus Patrol in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on protecting clients across tech-focused spaces, performing interior and exterior patrols, and maintaining access control with a high standard of customer service.

You’ll monitor, deter unauthorized access, respond to incidents, and uphold site policies while delivering professional service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain logs and documentation.

• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity through a professional presence, adherence to post orders, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
