Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA. You will patrol assigned areas, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media and telecom location.

You will carry out site-specific procedures, respond to incidents, and prepare accurate reports while maintaining a visible, professional presence. A guard card/licence and CPR are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility and perimeters.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and reporting access-control issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting access-control issues in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while supporting a professional and customer-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
