• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and document observations for site contacts and leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and shift communications while upholding a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Certified in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while contributing to a welcoming, security-related environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional and welcoming environment for a technology and media workplace.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
