Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time perimeter patrol in Suffolk, VA. You will monitor and secure a technology-focused site, provide excellent customer service, and maintain visibility to deter incidents while following site policies.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document relevant observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate activity logs in alignment with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control operations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while collaborating with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
