Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Issuance in Suffolk, VA. You will provide professional security services at a technology-focused site, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, and assist employees and visitors.

This role offers flexible part-time schedules with a pay rate of $19 per hour. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and uphold site procedures with integrity and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and exterior perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry processes, and escalate concerns to site contacts or leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, solution-focused manner and document observations.
• Deter unauthorized activity through professional presence and timely communication of security concerns.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, reporting observed irregularities or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with appropriate entry processes and escalating concerns to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and following established reporting protocols.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, attention to site conditions, and timely communication of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
