Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Las Vegas, NV. This role provides reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate areas while reporting suspicious activity or access concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, or a baton is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
