Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer Driver Perimeter Patrol in Roanoke, VA. You will patrol retail areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to shoppers and staff. A valid driver’s license is required for driving posts and a background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by following security procedures and location policies.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout retail areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to store personnel or leadership.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and directions during busy periods and events.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and directions during busy shopping periods, special events, and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
