As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Reporting in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional response while demonstrating Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report security-related matters according to location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity for unusual conditions, escalating concerns to appropriate store management, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Support a welcoming shopping environment by providing directions, assisting with customer service needs, and maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
