Job summary

Allied Universal Roanoke, VA is seeking a Full-Time Security Guard Patrol Driver. You will serve clients across Retail/Malls, conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

This driving role requires a valid driver's license, a background check, and a drug screen. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday evenings, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

• Monitor access points and observe activities, report concerns to leadership.
• Document incidents and patrols accurately and communicate information to site leadership.

This driving position requires a valid driver's license. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
