Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA. You will conduct security procedures, patrol facilities, and control access while providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and involves reporting incidents, completing documentation, and adhering to site policies. The position offers full-time hours and benefits in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license as per policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in line with laws.
• Drug screen may be required; licensing per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document entry/exit activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns per site procedures.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Fri 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sat 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sun 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor and contractor entry and exit activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
