Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Melbourne, FL to serve tenants, visitors, and staff while patrolling and enforcing site policies. You will monitor access, conduct patrols, and provide excellent customer service in a commercial real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Communicate observed maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and security-related issues to site management and Allied Universal leadership in a timely manner.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
