Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Melbourne, FL. This part-time role requires a DoD Secret Clearance and offers a chance to protect aerospace/defense sites with a customer-focused approach.

You will patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain logs and reports. Schedule includes Fri 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, Sat 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, Sun 1:00 PM–9:00 PM with a pay rate of $19.46 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two years security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor and contractor entry processes.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and document activities in accordance with procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
