Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Experienced Patrol in Melbourne, FL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and support access control and alarm response.

Qualifications

• Two years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by employment.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors per site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas and parking to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions and communicate security concerns to appropriate contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate contacts.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions across the assigned site and communicate security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
