Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigations and drug screening will be conducted as required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Assistance in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology data center location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, facility concerns, and/or potential security-related issues; document observations and incidents accurately and promptly.
• Verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures and support a professional, customer-focused environment for personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
