Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Customer Care to protect technology data center clients. You will monitor access, perform patrols, and provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule through our Claim a Shift platform and a starting pay of $25.21 per hour, with opportunities for training and career growth within our nationwide security team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen will be performed where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or personnel at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the data center campus, buildings, access points, perimeter, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, complete required logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do
