Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Credential Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to security-related concerns, and contribute to a caring culture that puts people first. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and vehicle activity; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and respectful communication with all individuals.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
