Job summary

Allied Universal® in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed Customer Service Patrol Driver. This full-time role supports healthcare facilities by patrolling, monitoring access points, and delivering courteous service to patients, staff and visitors. A valid driver’s license is required to perform driving duties.

• Respond to incidents and emergencies with calm, problem-solving communication to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions and escort requests following site policies.

• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access control procedures, and/or escort requests in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, following Allied Universal and site procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
