Allied Universal in Royal Palm Beach, FL is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect residents, visitors and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, control access, and respond to incidents with calm, professional communication.

Minimum requirements include at least one year of security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid guard license; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• State/city license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, manage sign-in procedures, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, parking, entrances, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Report policy violations, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions per site procedures.

As an Access Control Officer at a retail and mall location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security‑related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, manage visitor and vendor sign‑in procedures, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Observe activity throughout the location and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
