Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect clients across Retail/Malls and nearby areas. Build a flexible schedule and contribute to a welcoming, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and shopping district environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, providing assistance, directions, and a professional presence for guests and personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, property representatives, and/or emergency responders as needed.

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
