Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Savannah, GA. You will monitor entrances, assist visitors, perform patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

This full-time role pays $20.17 per hour with a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule. You will verify credentials, respond to incidents, document observations, and deliver courteous service, supporting a safe, welcoming environment for staff and guests.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and directing authorized visitors/deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following escalation procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents promptly and accurately.

Pay Rate: $20.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and/or deliveries, and reporting unauthorized access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
