Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Access in Summerville, SC. You will monitor access points, patrol facilities, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring safety and compliance at a busy logistics location.

Key duties include responding to incidents, maintaining security procedures, and supporting site operations. You will work a daytime schedule with consistent shifts and represent Allied Universal with integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, and perimeter points.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, assist with site access procedures, and report concerns.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing areas for policy concerns and reporting issues.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control functions. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading dock areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel, helping to follow site access procedures and reporting concerns related to restricted areas and/or after-hours activity.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing shipping, receiving, and storage areas for policy-related concerns, and reporting damaged doors, lighting issues, and/or other security-related conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
