Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Security Officer Unarmed Access in Savannah, GA. You will serve and safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service while reporting observations using site technology.

Join Allied Universal’s team where a caring culture, teamwork and integrity guide every shift. The role is full-time with a 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule and $19.00 per hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer or tablet use preferred.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas and perimeter to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following reporting procedures.
• Complete activity logs and incident documentation for supervision.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and reporting access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
