Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmedin Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff while using technology to document observations and report concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a healthcare and life sciences location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control concerns or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
