Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Access Control Unarmed in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on protecting clients, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering excellent customer service in a technology/media setting.

Position Type: Full Time; Pay Rate: $21.00 per Hour. Shift schedule includes days and evenings, with five daily shifts. You will perform patrols, monitor access, document activities, and respond to incidents per post orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, or telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual activity, access issues, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
