Job summary

Allied Universal in Point Comfort, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with TWIC access. You will guard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location, manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide professional customer service on a fast-paced site.

This role offers set part-time hours, a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform, and a supportive team. A TWIC, high school diploma, background check, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while enforcing site security procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, process visitors, and document access events.
• Control vehicle, delivery, and personnel access to restricted areas per site rules.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, process visitors and contractors, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
• Control access for vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering restricted operational areas in accordance with established site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating with appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
