Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, perimeter locations, and restricted areas.
• Assist with screening vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering restricted areas.

Job Description

As a Security Officer TWIC Vehicle Inspection Driver in Port Lavaca, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and communicate clearly with visitors and personnel. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access discrepancies according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, perimeter locations, and restricted areas within a chemical and petrochemical facility.
• Assist with screening vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering restricted areas while following applicable site access requirements and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC card.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
