Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time TWIC Entry Screening Security Officer in Ingleside, TX. You will protect clients at chemical/petrochemical locations, manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Position is part-time with a schedule that includes weekend hours. Pay is $15.00 per hour, with opportunities for training and career growth via the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle authorization; issue and collect access credentials and maintain entry records.
• Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and deliveries according to procedures and escalate unauthorized access or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following post orders and emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle authorization in accordance with site requirements; issue and collect access credentials and maintain required entry records.
• Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and deliveries according to established procedures, escalating unauthorized access attempts or prohibited items to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, business locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
