Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to work on-site in Reston, VA with requirements for TS/SCI clearance or eligibility for SCI. The role involves operating access control, authenticating CACs, and issuing DTRA badges.

The position also requires escorting visitors, assisting with point-of-contact referrals, and providing directions as needed while maintaining clear communication with all guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to function in all types of weather environments.
• Current TS/SCI clearance or eligibility for SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Understand and operate the access control system.
• Authenticate Common Access Cards.
• Make DTRA badges.
• Meet and escort DTRA site visitors.
• Assist visitors with contacting government points of contact.
• May be required to provide directions to visitors.
• Communicate clearly with visitors.
