Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Assistant Security Officer (CAC/SMS) for the Springfield, VA location. The role administers security procedures and ensures compliance with DoD guidelines while interacting with Contractors and Government agencies regarding clearance matters.

The position emphasizes proficiency in security systems, strong communication, and attention to detail, with a schedule of 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, plus occasional evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Business Administration or Security and 0–1 years DoD security experience.
• An extra 2 years of IC Security experience can substitute for the Associates Degree.
• Must acquire and maintain access to DISS/JPAS/M3-SMS/PSAM/LDS PAMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAC duties and rotate to Briefing, Clearance Passing, and Front Desk areas as needed.
• Coordinate with the Facility Security Officer to meet DoD clearance requirements.
• Communicate effectively and produce accurate, knowledgeable reports.
• Maintain knowledge of DoD and NGA security procedures and policies.
• Manage documents related to transport of classified materials.
