Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to be based on-site in Reston, VA. The role requires current TS/SCI clearance or TS with the ability to obtain SCI clearance.

Responsibilities include operating the access control system, authenticating CACs, creating DTRA badges, and escorting visitors. The position emphasizes alertness and clear communication in a government facility environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of general work experience dealing with the public.
• Must have a TS/SCI with Eligibility Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate the access control system.
• Authenticate Common Access Cards (CACs).
• Create DTRA badges.
• Meet and escort DTRA site visitors as needed.
• Assist visitors with contacting government points of contact.
• Provide directions to visitors when required.
• Communicate clearly with visitors.
