Job summary

DSI Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for a Thursday–Saturday night shift in Peoria, IL. You will provide a secure, professional presence, perform patrols, observe and report hazards, and interact with clients and the public to maintain safety.

This role emphasizes accountability, customer service, and adherence to company policies. We offer flexible hours, health benefits, a 401k, paid training, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Reliable transportation and means of communication
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions
• Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols
• Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity
• Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post‑specific instructions
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely
• Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals
