ASM Global at The Moscone Center is seeking a Security Officer for a Union position with flexible scheduling. This role requires professionalism, reliable attendance, and the ability to perform security duties across day, swing, and overnight shifts.

Starting pay is $28.54 per hour, with shifts assigned by seniority. You will respond to emergencies, guard access, monitor cameras, complete reports, and enforce facility rules while upholding ASM policies.

Qualificações

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete CPR certification.
• Must be computer literate or willing to accept training to achieve literacy in relevant applications.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old or older (BSIS Guard Card Requirement).
• Pass employment background check, agility test, & drug/alcohol test.

Responsabilidades

• Be in uniform and ready to work at the start of scheduled shift.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Observe, report and manage crowd activities.
• Complete all internal reports and documents accurately and legibly.
• Lock and unlock meeting rooms as requested and secure all exit doors.
• Complete shift duties as assigned by Security Supervisors and Building Management.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations governing access to and use of the facility and grounds.
• Provide information and directions to all persons requesting such information.
• Complete guard tours and perimeter checks.
• Respond to incidents or checks as directed by Building Management.
• Patrol and secure the facility and grounds as required.
• Log appropriately when covering the Control Room and complete written reports when appropriate.
• Ensure that lost & found procedures are enforced.
• Monitor cameras and report any unusual occurrences when covering the Control Room.

Job posting - Security Officer – The Moscone Center

The Moscone Center has one (1) opening for Security Officers under the Service Employees International Union.

Department: Security

Reports to: Security Services Supervisor and/or Manager

Schedule: This is a flex position with a variable schedule. There are no fixed shifts or set days off. Shifts are assigned based on seniority, and employees should expect their scheduled shifts and days off to vary from week to week. The days off for this position will not necessarily be consecutive. We are seeking candidates who are flexible and available to work any of our three shifts (day shift, swing shift, overnight shift), as schedules may change from week to week and days off will not necessarily remain the same. Schedules are posted each Wednesday for the following workweek, with the workweek beginning Monday. Average weekly hours can vary from 1 or 2 shifts up to full-time hours (weekly hours are not guaranteed).

Rate of Pay: $28.54 / hour to start

• Ensure that proper logs and entries are recorded accurately and legibly when covering the Control Room and complete written reports when appropriate.
• Ensure that lost & found procedures are enforced.
• Monitor cameras and report any unusual occurrences when covering the Control Room.
• Report any camera, computer, and equipment malfunctions immediately and log appropriately when covering the Control Room.
• Follow and enforce all ASM policies, rules, and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Report all incidents and findings during the schedule shift by submitting the proper report to Security Management.

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Work requires the occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds of force.
• Work is generally performed in a moderately noisy location.
• This position requires substantial long periods of time standing up and walking.
• Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions including extreme cold, heat, and rain.
• This position requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This is a Union position. Per CBA, employees in this position must become a member of the Union.
