Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in New York, NY. This role focuses on reliable, flexible shifts with anchor shifts and opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts across multiple sites.

Pay is $19.48 per hour with a fixed shift commitment and a program to claim extra shifts. The role emphasizes customer service, incident response, regular patrols, and adherence to site procedures to ensure safety and security.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store team members, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazardous conditions, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrols, and security-related activities accurately and promptly while maintaining a professional presence.

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
