Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Albuquerque, NM. This role provides reliable, flexible hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Start with a fixed anchor shift for six months and expand by using our scheduling platform for additional shifts. You will protect clients, employees, and visitors, respond to incidents, and patrol the site to deter theft while upholding a professional security presence and

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by performing security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular patrols of the retail location including sales floor, entrances, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior or security concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence and follow Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Storefront Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 04:15 PM - 10:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, helping to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity for unusual behavior, policy concerns, and security-related issues.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming shopping environment and following Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
