Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Albuquerque, NM. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned mall site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $18.55 per hour. The position offers a fixed Saturday shift 12:00 PM – 08:00 PM, with a schedule-planned path to potentially up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to assist with access control and reporting.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with site management and local authorities as needed.

As a Security Officer Mall Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with access control, visitor directions, and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
