Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Albuquerque, NM. You will operate at a technology-focused site, providing customer service and security functions with fixed anchor shifts and options to claim additional shifts.

The role offers a pay rate of $18.69 per hour, with a schedule from 04:00 to 08:00 on weekdays. Ideal candidates will have a guard card/licensure preferred, prior security or customer service experience, and a commitment to a six-month anchor shift.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, access points, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and maintaining accurate logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, property damage, and other policy violations through a visible patrol presence and professional interaction with occupants and visitors.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
