Allied Universal in Willimantic, CT is seeking a Security Officer State Site Patrol to safeguard government locations and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism while maintaining clear documentation.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points; verify authorized access and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel, public officials, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security concerns and updates.

Job Description

As a Security Officer State Site Patrolin Willimantic, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting access control activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points; verify authorized access in accordance with site policies; and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel, public officials, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and operational updates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
